കരപ്രദേശത്ത് കൂർക്ക കൃഷി ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ വാരത്തിന്റെ ഉൾഭാഗം അധികം കിളച്ചിളക്കാതെ ജൈവവളം ഇടണം. തുടർന്ന് വശങ്ങളിൽനിന്ന് മണ്ണ് എടുത്തിട്ടശേഷം ജൈവവളവുമായി കൂട്ടിക്കലർത്തി വാരം തയാറാക്കുക. ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്താൽ കൂർക്കയുടെ വേര് ആഴത്തിൽ പോകുന്നത് ഒഴിവായി മുഴുവൻ കൂർ‌ക്കയും വിളവെടുക്കുന്നതിനും വലുപ്പമുള്ള കിഴങ്ങുകൾ ഉണ്ടാകുന്നതിനും ഇടയാകും90 സെ.മീ. വീതിയും 30 സെ.മീ. ഉയരവുമുള്ള വാരങ്ങൾ എടുത്ത് അതിൽ 15 സെ.മീ. നീളമുള്ള വള്ളികൾ നടണം. വള്ളികൾക്കായി കിഴങ്ങുകൾ കിളിർപ്പിച്ചാൽ മതി. ഒരു ചതുരശ്ര മീറ്റർ വലുപ്പമുള്ള തവാരണയിൽ 25 ഗ്രാം കുമ്മായം പ്രയോഗിക്കണം. 6 ഗ്രാം യൂറിയ, 25 ഗ്രാം രാജ്ഫോസ്, 8.5 ഗ്രാം മ്യൂറിയേറ്റ് ഒാഫ് പൊട്ടാഷ് എന്നിവ അടിവളമായി നൽകാം. 45 ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞ് 6 ഗ്രാം യൂറിയ 8 ഗ്രാം പൊട്ടാഷ് ഇവ നൽകുകയും വാര ത്തി ന്റെ കേട് പോക്കുകയും ചെയ്യണം
