നേഴ്‌സറിക്കായി മണ്ണ് കിളച്ച് പരുവപ്പെടുത്തി കാലിവളവും കുമ്മായവും ചേര്‍ത്തുവയ്ക്കണം. സെന്റിന് 100 കി.ഗ്രാം കാലിവളവും രണ്ടു കി.ഗ്രാം കുമ്മായവുമാവാം. 750 സെ. മീ. നീളം 100 സെ.മീ. വീതി 15 സെ. മീ. ഉയരവുമുള്ള ബെഡുകള്‍ എടുത്ത് അതില്‍ വരിവരിയായി ഉള്ളിവിത്ത് പാകാം.ആര്‍ക്ക കല്യാണ്‍ എന്ന ഇനമാണ് കേരളത്തിനു പറ്റിയത്. പാകി 6-8 ആഴ്ചയ്ക്കുശേഷം തൈകള്‍ പറിച്ചുനടാം. പ്രധാന കൃഷിയിടം കിളച്ച് കാലിവളം ചേര്‍ത്തശേഷം 15 സെ. മീ. അകലത്തില്‍ വാരങ്ങള്‍ എടുത്ത് 10 സെ. മീ. അകലത്തില്‍ തൈകള്‍ നടാം.
അടിവളം ചേർത്ത് ഉള്ളി മ‍ണ്ണിൽ നട്ടുകൊടുക്കാം. ഗ്രോബാഗിലും നടാവുന്നതാണ്. ഒരു ഗ്രോബാഗിൽ നാലോ അഞ്ചോ ഉള്ളി നടാം.
മണ്ണിലാണെങ്കിൽ ജലസേചനം, കളയെടുപ്പ്, മണ്ണ് കയറ്റിക്കൊടുക്കല്‍ എന്നിവ യഥാസമയം ചെയ്യണം. ഒന്നരമാസം കഴിഞ്ഞ് മേല്‍വളം നൽകണം.
