തുള്ളിനനയാണ് പീച്ചിങ്ങയുടെ കൃഷിയില്‍ അനുവര്‍ത്തിക്കാന്‍ നല്ലത്. കളകളെ നിയന്ത്രിക്കാനും ജലനഷ്ടം ഒഴിവാക്കാനും ഇത് നല്ലതാണ്. മഴക്കാലത്ത് നനയ്‌ക്കേണ്ട ആവശ്യമില്ല.കൃഷി തുടങ്ങി 45 മുതല്‍ 60 ദിവസം കൊണ്ട് വിളവെടുക്കാന്‍ പാകമാകും. മണ്ണിലെ പോഷകമൂല്യത്തെ ആശ്രയിച്ച് ഒരു ഒരു ഹെക്ടറില്‍ നിന്നും 70 മുതല്‍ 90 ക്വിന്റല്‍ വരെ വിളവ് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാം. ആദ്യത്തെ പൂവിടല്‍ ആരംഭിച്ചശേഷം രണ്ടാഴ്ചത്തെ വളര്‍ച്ചയെത്തിയാലാണ് കായകള്‍ മൂപ്പെത്താറുള്ളത്. ആവശ്യത്തിന് വെള്ളം ലഭിക്കാതെ വന്നാലും ആവശ്യത്തില്‍ക്കൂടുതല്‍ വെള്ളം കിട്ടിയാലും പീച്ചിങ്ങയിലെ പൂക്കള്‍ കൊഴിയും. അതുപോലെ.മണ്ണില്‍ പോഷകങ്ങളുടെ അഭാവമുണ്ടായാലും പൂക്കള്‍ കൊഴിഞ്ഞുപോകാം. വളരെ കുറഞ്ഞ ചെലവില്‍ വളര്‍ത്തി കുറഞ്ഞ കാലയളവ് കൊണ്ട് കൂടുതല്‍ വിളവെടുക്കാവുന്ന പച്ചക്കറിയാണിത്.
