  • കര്‍പ്പൂര തുളസി ഉണക്കിപ്പൊടിച്ചിടുന്നത് ഉറുമ്പിനെ അകറ്റും.
  • മസാലകളായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ഗ്രാമ്പൂ, വഴനയില എന്നിവ ഉറുമ്പുകള്‍ ഉള്ളിടത്ത് വിതറുന്നത് നല്ലതാണ്.
  • കർപ്പൂരം എണ്ണയിൽ പൊടിച്ച് ചേർത്ത് ഒരു തുണിയിൽ എടുത്ത് ഉറുമ്പ് വരുന്ന ഭാഗത്ത് തുടച്ചിടുക
  • എല്ലുപൊടി & കടലപിണ്ണാക്ക് വളമായി നൽകുമ്പോൾ ഉറുമ്പ് വരാൻ സാദ്യത കൂടുതലാണ് ,അതിന് പരിഹാരമായി വേപ്പിൻപിണ്ണാക്ക് പൊടിച്ച് അല്പം ചാരവും ചേർത്ത് മണ്ണിന് മുകളിൽ ചെടിക്ക് ചുറ്റും വിതറുക
  • അടുക്കളയുടെ പാതകം വിനാഗിരി മുക്കിയ തുണി കൊണ്ടു തുടച്ചാല്‍ ഉറുമ്പിനെ അകറ്റി നിര്‍ത്താം.
  • പച്ചക്കറി ത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ ഉപകാരമുള്ള പുളിയുറുമ്പിനെ (മിശിറ് (നീറ്) വരുത്താൻ ഒരു ചിക്കൻ കടയിൽ നിന്നോ മാംസക്കടയിൽ നിന്നോ ഒരു കഷ്ണം എല്ല് (ഫ്രഷ്) / കൊണ്ടുവന്നു തൂക്കുക
